Where It Began
Alfonso's professional career began in Valencia, Spain, where he served as chief engineer at the acclaimed Tabalet Estudis. There he recorded world orchestras, classical ensembles, jazz groups, singer-songwriters, and bands of every style — alongside music for film, theatre, television, and advertising. It was a complete education in the full spectrum of sound.

The American Chapter
In 2003, Alfonso made the leap to America. Mentored by studio designer Vincent Van Haff and Latin engineering legend Benny Faccone, he quickly found his footing — working with Maná, Marco Antonio Solís, and Algerian icon Khaled alongside Carlos Santana. His introduction to BMI Icons Los Tigres del Norte in 2006 began a fifteen-year collaboration that would yield three Grammy Awards, two Latin Grammy Awards, and numerous nominations.
